Is the Northern California Venture Conference open to the public?
Yes. This is a ticketed event open to the public. If you have questions not answered here, please email: hello@startupredding.com
Who is this event for?
The Northern California Venture Conference is for entrepreneurs, angel investors, business people, venture capitalists, inventors, and startup founders. If you are building a business or interested in investing in businesses, please join.
Do I need to own a business to attend?
This is an event connecting people building businesses and people interested in investing in businesses. You do not need to currently own a business to attend.
What kind of businesses will present at this year’s conference?
This year we are featuring two types of businesses from the stage: “Early Stage” and “Fast Growing” We define how we view each below. If you are a founder interested in presenting, we would love to hear about what you’re building.
Early Stage Businesses: New businesses with big ideas, energy, and momentum. These businesses can create meaningful economic impact when the idea is validated and systematized.
Fast Growing Businesses: Businesses with customers, revenue, and systems. These businesses have a track record and are on the verge of rapid scale that could be supported by outside investment.
Will food be served?
Yes! Your ticket price includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
What prizes are up for grabs?
Prizes are awarded to the winning pitch in each category. The winner of the “Rapid-Growth Potential” category will receive a prize, and the winner of the “Explosive-Growth Potential” category will receive a minimum $10,000 check. Keep in mind that ANY startup can also gain investment funding from our local angel investors or another investor attending the event.
Can I volunteer and get free entry to the event?
Maybe. We can always use a few extra hands behind the scenes. Send us an email and let’s talk about it.

Keynote Speaker: Tim Metzner
Tim Metzner is a CEO, serial entrepreneur, and investor who has founded and scaled multiple companies and been part of ventures that have reached billion-dollar valuations. Today, he leads FireRoad Ventures, where he invests in small and medium sized businesses. Tim will share his perspective on building, investing, and scaling companies, and what it takes to create lasting value.
A.I. Panel Host: Kirk Wayman
Kirk Wayman is a founder, leadership coach, and advisor who has spent 15+ years helping entrepreneurs, executives, and teams grow with clarity and purpose. As the leader of Ikon Coaching, he blends strategy, behavioral science, and emotional intelligence to help leaders navigate the rise of AI while staying grounded in what makes us human. Kirk will lead a discussion on how AI is shaping business, and what it means to lead effectively.
Access to Capital Panel Host: Matt Moseley
Matt Moseley is the Executive VP and Regional President for Plumas Bank where he leads their effort to support local business. With over 27 years in community banking, he has worked from teller to CEO, bringing deep experience in lending, credit, and relationship-driven banking. Matt will lead a discussion on access to capital, how businesses can secure funding, and how to build strong financial partnerships.
