Is the Northern California Venture Conference open to the public?

Yes. Venture Conference is a ticketed event that is open to the public.

Who is this event for?

The Northern California Venture Conference is for Shasta County entrepreneurs, angel investors, business people, venture capitalists, inventors, and startup founders. This is both a pitch competition and a networking event.

What kind of startups will present at this year’s conference?

We are accepting pitch submissions from startups in any industry. We narrow down the best and most interesting candidates and invite those founders to pitch live at the conference.

I have an idea for a Startup, can I pitch it at the conference?

Maybe. This event has two categories.

#1. Early Stage — This category is for founders with a great idea that is close to proof-of-concept. If your company is either pre-revenue or very early revenue and looking for traction, we welcome you to apply.

#2. Seed/Pre-Seed — This category is for companies with a proven concept, traction, and potentially revenue. If your company is preparing to scale and can use investment, we welcome you to apply.

Will food be served?

Yes! Your ticket price includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

What prizes are up for grabs?

Prizes are awarded to the winning pitch in each category. The winner of the Early Stage category will receive a prize, and the winner of the Seed-Pre-Seed category will receive a minimum $10,000 check. Keep in mind that ANY startup can also gain investment funding from our local angel investors or another investor attending the event.

Can I volunteer and get free entry to the event?

Maybe. We can always use a few extra hands behind the scenes. Send us an email and let’s talk about it.
